Volunteers
GES families are encouraged to become involved with the PTA, and there are many volunteer opportunities available.
GES Student Directory
Each year, the PTA creates a Student Directory as a useful tool for making contacts across the school community. Inclusion in the Directory is completely voluntary. If you would like to be included in the current year's Directory, please fill out the form (Spanish version) and return to the school by October 1st.
Talented and Gifted Program
Greenbelt Elementary has a successful 'TAG in the Regular Classroom' program which begins in 2nd grade. Students are tested in the fall of 1st grade, and again in subsequent grades, so that it is possible to join the program later. TAG students are given opportunities for enrichment and accelerated learning within their regular classroom, for example more advanced reading and math.
For more information, please see the presentation on the TAG program given in 2008.
